Felician College mandates that all full-time undergraduate students must have medical insurance that includes hospitalization. All full-time Felician College students are assessed an insurance fee, as part of their student fees. A full-time student status is defined as having 12 credits or more. 

Part time undergraduates and graduate students taking six or more credits, and students who are enrolled in at least 30 hours within the ESL program are eligible to enroll on a voluntary basis. Eligible dependents of enrolled students may participate in the plan.  Use the following link to enroll in the voluntary plan. You must pay by check or credit card.  Any student that loses coverage during the school year can obtain health coverage by enrolling into the plan.  

For the 2013-2014 college year, our plan name is United Healthcare Choice Plus.  Preferred Providers can be found using the following link For more information including the brochure, insurance/RX card, medical and RX claim forms can be found on this site. Using these providers will reduce your out of pocket costs.  All claim forms must be filed within 60 days for reimbursement. Medical statements and pharmacy bills should be attached to the claim form and mailed to the address located on the form.  

The insurance plan has a 3 Tiered prescription drug benefit. There is a $15 Copay for Tier 1 / $40 Copay for Tier 2 / $75 Copay for Tier 3 up to 31-day supply per prescription and should be filled at a United Healthcare Pharmacy (UHCP). Mail Order Pharmacy for a 90 day supply can be obtained through UHCP at 2.5 times the retail copay.  A list of nationwide participating pharmacies are available for review at

Students who have adequate hospitalization insurance coverage, may waive the student insurance fee by completing a Student Medical Insurance Waiver form which is located on the Felician Web Advisor. The waiver deadline for Fall 2013 semester is September 24, 2013. For Spring 2014 semester, waivers will be available online after January 2, 2014. The deadline to complete the Spring waiver is February 11, 2014.  Please note change to waiver policy: Students are required to waive each semester (Fall & Spring). It is strongly recommended that you print the confirmation page for your records. If you do not complete a waiver prior to 09/24/13 for the Fall semester and 02/11/14 for the Spring/Summer semester, you will be automatically enrolled in this insurance plan. Once enrolled there are no refunds or cancellations except entry into the armed forces. 

Please note that the Student Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan provides limited medical coverage benefits, and does not cover all services. Please make sure you read the plan brochure for details on coverage.
